Its urine acidifying properties and its low level of magnesium make it suitable for dissolving struvite stones and reducing their recurrence. Idiopathic cystitis: A high moisture content helps reduce the risk of recurrent idiopathic cystitis. Dissolves crystals: Effectively dissolves particular urinary stones called struvites. Moderate Calorie: Moderate calorie content to help maintain ideal weight. Low RSS: Helps lower the concentration of ions contributing to crystal formation. Urine dilution: Helps to prevent urinary crystals. Recommended for cats with tendency to be overweight in cases of: Struvite uroliths: dissolution and management of recurrence, Calcium oxalate uroliths: management of recurrence.
